Four years ago today we made vows to each other to love and honour each other for better for worse, richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, as long as we both shall live.
Ours is love on a plate. It was our passion for food that brought us together and the heat we generate in our kitchen keeps the love warm.
Since we are often “the culinary couple,” we wanted to share how food featured on our wedding day four years ago. The menu was created by our dear friend, Executive Chef Emil Minev and it was indeed a feast fit for a king and his queen.
Here’s to a lifetime of happy food dreams!
WHAT CHEFS DO ON THEIR ANNIVERSARIES
We try, when possible to book into a hotel for our anniversary or at least to have a free and very special date night. But chef couples know that it doesn’t always happen that way and flexibility is called for if one wants to maintain sanity (and happiness). This year with a hotel opening, new restaurants, a brand new baby and Eid holidays, there was no way we would get to spend such luxurious time together.
The Chef is busy tonight as its Eid and the hotel is booked and his restaurants packed but we will meet for a drink once the last table is served. Of course, The Steward has to pump the baby’s milk first. He may be a gourmand in training but he isn’t yet ready for alcohol.
