Sounds like we are talking about our first-born, doesn’t it? I know. Even a pet. That’s it! I think the Bamix is in fact, our very own robotic pet. I am an animal lover, but I have to tell you, this thing is even better. It doesn’t need to be fed and cleaned and doesn’t bark in the middle of the night. It never needs a vet, and will function for years without a hitch-such is the promise of this experienced and well-made Swiss brand.
Originally discovered by our shelf half, who has used it in his professional restaurant use, the steward was doubtful of yet another kitchen gadget. Chefs have been using the Bamix for decades in their restaurants because of the how much it improves work flow and taste. Bamix is even endorsed by Michelin Star Chef, Gordon Ramsay. There is something about blenders that make men feel like macho and powerful kings of the kitchen jungles. Please don’t ask me what it is, but blenders seem to have that effect on men! If you think your original blender was the manliest kitchen gadget ever, move over big blender, because the Bamix is truly the best thing since sliced bread!
As the steward, wary of motorized things that I didn’t see my mother use in the kitchen, I was of course very skeptical. “But hon, do we really need another blender? Will we really use it at home? Is it convenient to use? Is it easy to clean? Does it have many uses? Is it worth it? ” Having experienced the product first hand, I can tell you the answer to all those questions-“Most definitely!”
It blends, whips, chops, purées, grinds, slices, grates and makes magic. I am talking homemade mayonnaise in 11 seconds, and baby food in five. You try crushing a fresh apple by hand with a fork and see how far you get int the 15 seconds or so it takes to make fresh apple purée with the Bamix. I am sold. Hook, line a sinker. And now I sit looking at it permanently on our kitchen counter and know that my life has just gotten a whole lot easier.
Especially since this is how you clean it! What could be any easier??
Coming up soon, recipes made with our Bamix… you cannot afford to miss them!
Question: Do you use a Bamix? If so, how? If not, what would you use it for if you were to buy one?
