I have a confession. When I heard the chef say “Cauliflower Soup for lunch” yesterday, I ducked and hid. I bit my lips, closed my eyes and pretended it would all go away. Notice… I didn’t even take pics of all the ruckus he made in the kitchen. I sinned. I doubted the chef. And then I saw this… and then I tasted it. And then, I fell in love all over again.

1 CommentI finally relaunched my radio show as a video podcast (read the back story)… and what didn’t happen in 4 years, happened in 30 days. You can also binge watch the whole thing from my ordination and the prophetic word I received about my podcast during that short ceremony and all the episodes I have...Read More »Continue Reading»How to go from local to global- expanding your brand beyond small spaces and places
2 CommentsThis morning, as I sat reflecting on my last 7 years in a very small place (Aruba is a country with a population of a whopping 120, 000), I thought just how much of a challenge it has been to be the proverbial big fish in a small pond. Previous post…”I launched my podcast!” How...Read More »Continue Reading»I finally launched Thrive with Kari as a podcast

I love cauliflower and broccoli, especially steamed. In fact, last night’s dinner had steamed cauliflower tossed in olive oil and fried garlic with just a hint of turmeric and pepper. Looking forward to the recipe for this soup. If you’re eating carbs these days, then try stuffed cauliflower parathas for breakfast.

This looks so delicious. I haven’t went to the market yet to buy any cauliflower but I will make this and try it too. We just might be cauliflower-ed out this week, LOL

Hahaha.. I was feeling the same way but I went overboard when I saw it for so cheap (1.95AED in Lulu’s) that we ended up having so much and had to find ways to use it up! I have extra soup in containers in my freezer for later on. The best thing about buying things in season is that you get the best prices!

Cauliflower is always amazing! I was in a competition @ school recently and we had to create a dish from a box of secret ingredients. In the box were cauliflower and pine nuts and some gruyere cheese, so we made cauliflower soup! Since then I’ve used it in curry, with bechamel sauce, and even mashed!! It’s incredibly tasty with almost any flavor profile.

Yummy! Isn’t chef school fun? Bechamel cauliflower- now that’s inventive! I agree with you on the flavour profile. It’s begging to be played with!
